Fields Of May

tall and waving they hid half of me
here and there bushes of wild roses stopped me
as I stood taking in their perfume
Barn swallows swooped low over the waving seed tops
my mind filled with memories I breathed deeply

'Highrock Colour'

This was painted one evening in early October

when the oaks up on Highrock were fully

leafed and at their height in colour.

Seems a long time ago already.
