'Lgoon Willows'

Hello everyone,
This is my effort from this past Friday's jaunt to
Albert Head Lagoon. The parking lot side of the beach
dune was not bad as it was out of the wind there.
Still pretty chilly though.
Hope to see some others upload some plein air beauties.

'View from Waxwing Point'

Hello to all Papov's!
Though I haven't been out with you all much in the past
months I have been painting.
This is one of two I did on a recent day
excursion to Cowichan Lake.
What have you been painting lately??

"The House on the Beach" (Ocean Boulevard) oils 12 x 16

Today I re-sized the house THREE times on my canvas before I was happy with the composition. Fortunately, I used charcoal and could wipe the image with a paper towel each time. I had it much bigger but it seemed to be in my face, so I gradually got it down to what it appears now.
My thanks to Richard Schmid for showing me the way in his "Alla Prima" book. I have read it many times over and still I'm finding something new ...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm thinking of getting out this afternoon.
The way the wind seems to be picking up it may
need to be some where protected.
Email me if you are interested.
"Sunflower" oil on canvas
Jenn painted this wonderfully sunlit sunflower - most artists would paint the sunflower "face on" but she chose to capture it's side.
